Replicant RM is a ring modulator based on the legendary Yamaha CS80.
At its core lies MC1496 IC, a modern alternative to the original uA796 used in CS80.
Here is a jam showing off this module.
Replicant RM includes its own dedicated VCO.
You can choose between sine and square waveforms. Sine delivers the clean, pure tone, while square adds grit and harmonic complexity.
We’ve also included a built-in Attack/Decay envelope generator.
It can be gated or looped, and has two speed modes for you to choose from.
And here is a demo video with another Jam at the end.
Module width: 10 HP
Module depth: 24mm
VCO Speed:
Slow:1Hz – 200Hz
Fast:10hz – 2Khz
Envelope:
Slow: Attack: 20ms – 14sec Decay: 8ms – 5sec
Fast: Attack: 2ms – 1.4sec Decay: 1ms – 500ms
Power Consumption: 39mA at +12V / 31mA at -12V
